We at Daicel Arbor Biosciences are currently available to work with you on any project and product needs you have in order to further your research. Our entire team is available for technical consultation for our array of products or services, including free custom probe designs for myBaits and myTags products, free experimental project design guidance for myReads NGS services as well as support for synthetic biology project with myTXTL cell-free expression.
In order to protect the health and safety of our employees and community during this COVID-19 outbreak, Daicel Arbor Biosciences has implemented workplace guidelines for all employees to minimize exposure risk. These guidelines include employees working from home wherever possible and distributed shift work to reduce the number of people on site at any specific time for duties which require individuals to be at our facilities.

March 24, 2020 – Update
As of 12:01 a.m. today, the state of Michigan has ordered a “stay at home” order which prohibits in-person on-site work for Michigan residents that is not necessary to sustain or protect life, or meet minimum business maintenance needs. As the majority of products and services which Daicel Arbor Biosciences provides do not meet this criteria, we have obliged in keeping our employees at home and will be working remotely as possible. Therefore we will not be shipping any products during this time, with two exceptions:
- Shipment of the myBaits Expert SARS-CoV-2 Panel
- Supply of myTXTL Cell-Free Expression kits for applications directly related to COVID-19, including development of vaccines or diagnostics kits for the virus.
The current order is scheduled to continue until April 13, 2020 at 11:59 p.m. at which time we will plan to rapidly resume normal operations in the most efficient manner. In the interim, we are accepting quote requests, new orders, and payments for all products, and will be invoicing for any shipped products. Additionally, our entire team is available for technical consultation for any of our products or services, including free custom probe designs for myBaits and myTags products and free experimental project design guidance for myReads NGS services.

As COVID-19 and the SAR-CoV-2 virus continues to impact communities across the globe, we want to address any concerns you may have in regards to receiving research reagents from Daicel Arbor Biosciences.
We understand that some companies and institutions are still open or have critical departments operating in order to conduct vital research during the current situation. As such, we are working to maintain the supply of research kits, reagents, and services that drive these critical projects. This is being done at our manufacturing and research facility in Ann Arbor, Michigan USA as well as with our distribution partners around the world.
In order to protect the health and safety of our employees and community during this COVID-19 outbreak, Daicel Arbor Biosciences has implemented new workplace guidelines for all employees to minimize exposure risk. These guidelines include allowing employees to work from home wherever possible, restrictions on business travel, and distributed shift work to reduce the number of people on site at any specific time.
With all of this in place, we are still available to answer questions about sequencing viral and host genome targets, vaccine and diagnostics research with cell-free technologies, or to help plan an NGS service project while your resources may be limited during the current time. We continue to accept new orders for all products and services at this time, and are fully available to work on custom probe design projects. We will also be checking with you to confirm delivery availability for all open orders prior to shipment.
To do our part in helping to impact the fight against COVID-19, we have designed and produced an NGS-based research-use-only myBaits Expert SARS-CoV-2 Kit. We are providing this kit free of charge to researchers who are analyzing the evolution of this virus.
