Benjamin P. Steil, Ph.D.

Ben joined Daicel Arbor Biosciences in 2015 to develop new products for synthetic biology and NGS applications. He has over 15 years’ research experience in molecular biology, including DNA/RNA design, synthesis and purification, CRISPR, cell-free systems, and DNA sequencing. Ben received his Ph.D. in microbiology and immunology from the University of Colorado where he studied the replication of poliovirus RNA in HeLa cell-free extracts. He went on to do a post-doc at a vaccine company where he designed and manufactured novel viral particles to serve as adjuvants in new and existing vaccines. Since being hired, he has been involved in improving production and developing novel products for almost every product line at Arbor. In addition to research and development activities, Ben is also the product manager for myLib DNA oligo pools, specializing in various life sciences applications.
