These easy-to-use NGS kits are designed to target genomes of pathogenic respiratory viruses, for use by virologists, epidemiologists, evolutionary biologists, and public health researchers.
Unlike other manufacturers, our solution provides full customization. Choose from our “precombined” option that includes all available viral bait modules, or build your own combination from our standalone panels that target individual viral groups.
The flexible nature of myBaits® can capture novel variants, including point mutations, small or large indels, or other genomic changes. Our kits are compatible with enriching both long and short NGS library molecules, even from degraded targets.

Performance
Comprehensive coverage with minimal sequencing
The myBaits Expert Respiratory Virus panels are effective both individually as well as in the combined set of probes which includes all modules.
Using NGS libraries built from combinations of low copy numbers of viral genomic material embedded in backgrounds of 50 ng human RNA or DNA, we observe high enrichment rates of three to six orders of magnitude, and comprehensive genome coverage closely matching the non-enriched source. In the data shown here, five mock samples with five different viruses (Influenza A, SARS-CoV-2, Rhinovirus, Roseola, and Measles) are enriched with their individual target modules as well as with the combined set of 21 modules, and compared with direct non-enriched shotgun sequencing.

Publications
The myBaits Expert Respiratory Virus panel collection is composed of 21 distinct but combinable probesets for targeted NGS of whole virus genomes. We used hundreds of reference genomes for probe design to ensure that each module can retrieve a wide range of strains and variants.
